ProSys has begun making waves in the market, with its first major specifications and interest from merchants.
One pod manufacturer has ordered 360 cisterns with flush plates for an apartment project in Dublin and a housing developer has specified the full frame and flush plate combination for 40 houses in Coachford, County Cork, which may increase to 120.
Early feedback suggests ProSys could achieve our aspiration for it to be a game-changer which sees Ideal Standard and Armitage Shanks specified in projects we might previously have lost out on, especially where a greater choice of flushplate was needed.
The aim for the range is to win more full package business in the UK, which includes the frame, the toilets, the concealed cisterns and, importantly, the flush plates, which has been a target market for the company for some time.
Key Account Manager Eamon Marrinan said: “One of the things we were most pleased with was that we have been targeting pod manufacturers with ProSys, one of the reasons being that once you get your product in there, they use it again and again and it’s always large quantities.
“A sensor flush plate is important because non-touch is very popular in office buildings, particularly during COVID and with the international corporations that are coming to Ireland.”
He added: “This is a product we have been really waiting for because it gives you so many options we didn’t have before.
“We would get pushed back because we didn’t have a colour of flush plate or a sensor but now it’s great because we have such a huge range.”
The advertising campaign kicked off mid-March and has generated more than 3,600 clicks to the ProSys page on IdealSpec, with some 3,500 of these being new visitors to the site, demonstrating that the range is getting new people interested in our products.
In addition to this, a LinkedIn video which has been widely shared by colleagues has racked up about 1,700 views.
Anil Madan, Marketing Communications Manager – Specification, said: “We are promoting ProSys very heavily online and press ads will start to run in selected trade press aimed at architecture and design.
“It’s a dual-angled approach, where we’re heavily promoting the more aesthetic elements such as the flush plates to architects and designers and then the practical benefits of the in-wall frames and cisterns system more to developers."
“We’ve been focussing very much on communicating it online because a lot people are still working from home and aren’t seeing the printed material.
He added: “Of course, as it’s specification it’ll take time to filter through into orders but we are getting interest from specification customers and we are also getting a lot of interest from independents and other merchants.
“This is a marathon, not a sprint, and it’s a potential game-changer for us so we need to be persistent.”
