Persistence and constant contact has secured a healthcare project worth almost £120,000 in St John’s Wood, London.
The part refurbishment, part new development of the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth has a value to the business of £117,000, including £10,000 of taking share.
Having been involved with the architects from the early stages of the project, Specification Manager Dave Scarlett ensured Armitage Shanks remained in the plans through a number of changes of specifier, with the addition of WC pans which had originally been Duravit.
Dave said: “We were involved with the architect who were fairly set with what they wanted, including Duravit pans.
“At one point, I contacted the client to try to drive the spec but there was a change in the way they were doing things as the architect stepped away and at that point it became a design and build job with the main contractor.
“It landed with Coffey Construction as main contractor. At the time, we were asked to quote for it and we put forward a proposal and that’s where the taking share happened.
“Coffey then put Paneltech as installer and they have taken the spec from Coffey. It’s been a case of regular contact with Coffey Construction at every point to ensure the spec remained firm.”
The project includes Contour 21+ extended projection toilets, 120 Contour 21+ basins, 120 Markwik taps and a number of Dee slop hoppers.
