The pioneering Intellimix tap has entered a real-world testing phase with some major brands in an innovative approach to taking a new product to market.
The all-in-one mixer tap and soap dispenser with smart technology is being trialled by companies including Jaguar Land Rover, McDonalds and JCB, sports clubs such as Wolverhampton Wanderers FC and in landmarks including Wembley Stadium, the O2 Arena and The Scalpel building, all in London.
This “proof of concept” phase also encourages end users to submit real-time feedback via a QR code and questionnaire.
The aim is to test Intellimix’s performance in real situations but also to open the door to sales as organisations switch to sensor taps in the wake of COVID-19.

Specification Manager Ash Burtoft is leading the proof of concept project in the UK, collating suggestions for companies willing to test Intellimix and contacting them to arrange the trial.
He said: “The trial phase is definitely helping. It’s a chance for people to get their hands on it and then feed back through the QR code.
“It allows us to get real-time feedback and, obviously, once you’re in direct contact with a company it’s easier to make that next step of getting a sale.”
He added: “It’s been great to be responsible for this and we are getting some really positive responses. They really like the product and the concept of it.
“They like the aesthetic, that they can have their logo on the screen and the fact you can programme it to duty flush to guard against legionella build up, all by using an app.
“It’s a completely innovative new product – there’s nothing like it.”

Steve Parker, Field Sales Manager – Non Residential, said: "I think it’s fair to say that it’s due to Ash’s perseverance and tenacity that we are getting the Intellimix tap in front of these high profile clients.
"He really has demonstrated total commitment to this key stage of the project, as well as managing his day to day role. An outstanding effort!"

Intellimix formally launches in the UK in April. The Intellimix shown above is one of two being tested at Media City in Salford.
