There Ain’t No Mountain High Enough for the Trade Team as they embark on their latest monthly moving challenge.
The Cliffhanger Challenge sees the group of 13 colleagues aiming to climb the equivalent of six mountains by going up and down their stairs during the working week.
The aim is to encourage them to get up, take time away from their laptop and phones, and to break up their working day when they can during February.
In week one they overcame their target of climbing the total height of Ben Nevis (1,345m) Snowdon (1,085m) and Scafell Pike (978m) – the highest peaks in Scotland, Wales and England, respectively – and then the combined descent too, a total of 6,816m, which they beat by 1,048m.
This week they are attempting to do the same with Mount Blanc (4,808m), the highest mountain in the Alps and western Europe, followed by Mount Kilimanjaro (5,985m) and Mount Everest (8,848m) in the final two weeks of February.

This month’s challenge is being organised by Business Development Executive Curtis Morris.
He said: “We had a fantastic effort by everyone in week one and I hope this challenge, like the others before, encourages everyone to get up and about.
“This week we have been aiming to climb Mont Blanc, which means travelling a total of 9,618m in total as a team, so it’s a big step up from last week.”

The overall target total for the month is 45,922m.
