The Trade Team are back with their latest group effort to keep mind and body healthy: Time To Get Moving – The 200 Hour Challenge.
Having smashed their target to run and walk the distance from John O’Groats to Land’s End in December, they set themselves the challenge to take part in a combined total of 100 hours – that’s 6,000 minutes – of exercise in January.
But after they comfortably beat their first weekly target of 1,540 minutes, organiser Liam Pryszlak has doubled to overall total to 200 hours, which works out at 40 minutes per day for the team of 11; Liam, Jo Edwards, Jamie Maguire, Tom Ball, Alex Hooley, Mike Klodzinski, Nikesh Modi, Curtis Morris, Michael Burroughs, Mustafa Rahman and Holly Simmons.
Liam said: “We’ve changed the challenge this time to allow us to include any indoor activities we may be completing as it’s freezing outside and hopefully will be a little more inclusive and equal to everyone.
“As with last month we want to ensure we are all prioritising some of our day to move, to exercise, to feel good, maybe lose those Christmas pounds and most importantly to improve our mental wellbeing by taking some much-needed time away from our desks.”
The team have until January 29 to complete the challenge. We’ll check in with them in the next edition of The Bubble to see if they have been successful.
