The new UK consumer website is due to launch next week at www.idealstandard.co.uk with the aim of lifting perception of Ideal Standard in line with our new brand direction.
The site will align our online presence with our new brand story, improving the way we present ourselves to market visually, while offering an improved user experience.
From a technical standpoint, it is built on a single, futureproof "ecosystem" which is more robust than our current arrangements and will eventually host all group websites.
The UK site is the first in Ideal Standard International to launch as part of the huge Onehub project with all websites for Ideal Standard and its associated brands migrating to the new system over the next two years.
Marketing Director Katie Cope said: “This is a big step forward for our digital infrastructure. Having a futureproof platform which enables us to grow our online presence and deliver an excellent user experience is absolutely essential to our future growth."
Onehub replaces the existing content management system, the current hosting environment and the current DAM (digital asset management) and PIM (product information management) systems.
It will be connected with the new CRM (customer relationship management) system, Salesforce, which is also launching soon.
This will enable us to use data about customer behaviour on the website, such as which products people are looking for, where they are coming from and who is downloading our files, and link it to the data which is gathered by our CRM system.
Improved web analytics will tell us what visitors are doing on the sites and which content is popular, and better content optimisation will help to improve our search engine rankings.
IdealSpec will continue to be our professional platform. In the longer term, the aspiration is that it will migrate to Onehub when it is able to meet the needs of our specification customers.
