The IdealSpec website has been updated with a range of new features aimed at architects, interior designers and others working in specification.
The aim of the new sections is to make it easy for customers to learn more about our product offering for various market sectors and the types of solutions we can provide.
Digital Marketing Manager Ian Brown said: “These improvements are all about helping people find the right products for the kind of project they are working on.
“We are providing information to help people understand how to achieve compliance with various government regulations, such as Doc M, and suggesting complete bathroom and washroom solutions.
“Once they have read about the sector or solution that’s relevant to them, IdealSpec then allows them to download resources to enable them to specify not just individual products but also a complete “bundle” for an entire bathroom or washroom.”
For example, the residential sector gives examples of product “bundles” which are appropriate for social housing, private housing and apartment living by illustrating complete bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms. Each bundle allows users to download BIM objects and other digital resources.
The solutions area helps customers find the right products to meet certain needs or solve particular issues, such as infection control or small bathrooms which need space saving solutions. A recent addition to this area is a page on washrooms which was created to help support the new washroom campaign that started last week with Washroom Week.
Another new feature is the “Where to Buy” section. This has been developed to support our retail strategy and help drive footfall to our showroom partners. It allows website visitors to search for a showroom close to them, as well promoting our online sellers and a link to our spare parts website, Fastpart.
By clicking on a particular showroom the visitor can see useful information about them such as opening times, their website and email address. There is also the ability to request an appointment with that showroom.
This feature has also been added to the Specify Sottini website.
Further developments on both Ideal Spec and Specify Sottini are in the pipeline and will be announced shortly.
