A new trough for the education market has made Armitage Shanks the first manufacturer to provide a solution specifically to meet new specification requirements.
Over the past few years, the regulations governing the provision of school washrooms have become increasingly complex and confusing.
Then, in 2017, the government undertook a complete review resulting in a key document – Annex 2A – being published.
The trough answers the needs of the Annex by providing a removable panel for easy access, an integral splash back for added hygiene and a design with even and smooth surfaces free from acute corners and projections.
To link closer to our existing Splash range for schools the removable panels come in matching colours – red, yellow, blue and light grey. We have even included a mirror above the troughs as required in the specification.
Armitage Shanks have summarised the main requirements of the annex in an A5 brochure and produced a new A4 school washrooms brochure with fully compliant product in it to make specifying compliant washrooms easy. Each key stage shows which products are needed to ensure compliance.
Senior Sector Marketing Manager Tony Rheinberg said: “As we’ve done with Doc M packs recently, there is a clear business benefit to making it simple for clients to understand how Armitage Shanks can help them satisfy the requirements of government regulations.
“Meeting the annex specification is mandatory for any project funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) so following the new Armitage Shanks brochures will help our customers get full marks with their clients.
“Also, the development of the trough means that Armitage Shanks are the first manufacturer to provide a solution that meets the precise Annex requirements.”
The two brochures will be available in mailing within the next week.
