A group of 21 builders and installers from Munster in Ireland were treated to a tour of our brassware factory in Germany as part of a three-day visit to the country.
Organised by Frank Philippe, manager of the Wittlich plant, the aim of the trip was to show them the research and development and expert engineering which goes into our taps.
Accompanied by John Andrews, John Murphy and Martin O Reilly from our Ireland team, the group were fascinated by the processes in the factory.

Martin, the Country Manager for the Republic of Ireland, said: “This trip was about showing our guests just how much is involved in making our brassware products and why they are superior in quality and design.
“They were very, very impressed by the quality of our products and that’s something that came through very strongly over the whole three days.“
Martin added: “What you have with these kinds of trips is you have these people for three days and you’re very close to them so you’re engaging with them and they’re engaging with each other.
“ As a direct result of the trip we’ve already received a number of very good leads in the residential sector, two of the installers who use Roca and are going to give us the opportunity to quote and we have a lead on a 120-bed hotel through one of the plumbers.“

During the trip, the group were also treated to visits to the historic cities of Bernkastel and Trier.
