The Ireland team has clinched a £1m-plus healthcare project in Dublin in what is the biggest project in the state for over a decade.
Work on the £1.4bn National Children’s Hospital by BAM Construction on behalf of the Health Service Executive began earlier this year, with product orders expected from 2020.
The order for sanitaryware and fittings to the value of €1.2m (just over £1m) was seen over the line by John Andrews and Ronan Mythen despite competition from Twyford, Geberit and Rada.
They emphasised the quality of our products, our service standards and our experience with major projects, including Mater and Enniskillen hospitals, which were of a similar size and value.

Martin O’Reilly, Country Manager – Republic of Ireland, said: “This is the biggest project in the state in the last 10 years and is extremely prestigious as well as being very much in the news from a political point of view.
“We were involved in this project from day one and have taken a cradle to grave approach in winning it, making sure we engaged with all stakeholders in the process.
“The strength of our brand and our experience in supplying and managing projects of this size and calibre is ultimately what enabled us to win the order despite stiff competition within the industry.”

Another significant win for the Republic of Ireland is a €200,000 order which has now been placed by Jones Engineering via the Grafton Group.
This mixture of housing and student accommodation is being built in Dorset but Jones Engineering is an Irish company with positive relationships with our Ireland team. The order for sanitaryware and fittings was won against Roca, Vitra and Duravit.
