New relationships with London practices have been formed through an unusual marriage of architects and DJ battles.
Organised by Towant, the London Design and Specification Centre hosted one of the latest of a series of DJARCH events.
These see the organisers work with four showrooms in London – in this case Ideal Standard, Atlas, Natuzzi and Miller Knoll – to host parties and invite London architectural practices to attend.
Each showroom hosts four architectural practices and two members from each practice become the DJs for the night, sharing the best of their practice playlist with the help of a professional DJ.
The guests then vote for their favourite playlist who then win a prize arranged by the organisers.

LDSC Host Silvia Antunano said: “We had some wonderful catering from Clerkenwell Kitchen, who provided some casual-style canapes and wonderfully colourful Bombeer bottles made a great impression with the architects and helped create a celebratory atmosphere that they all enjoyed.
"A competition to win Amazon vouchers combined with our engagement with this audience helped get new sign ups to our mailing list for us to keep in touch with and some appointments to come back and visit the LDSC."
She added: “We had a great turnout and a lovely crowd, and most importantly we haven’t had any previous interactions with the four practices that took part in our event.
“So it was really great to start up conversations with local practices on our doorstep. It was a fantastic evening overall.”
