The resurgence of Homebase is offering an opportunity to build our business with the DIY giant.
Ideal Standard and Homebase have had a relationship stretching back to April 2014 and built our business to in excess of £2m.
However, over recent years our position in Homebase has diminished. Their sell off and failure with the Australian DIY giant Bunnings and the subsequent acquisition by Hilco has made the company’s position turbulent and marginalised in the UK because of the number of stores that have closed.
With Hilco’s investment into new store formats and their online platform, and with a new team in place, the resurgence of the DIY sector has put the retailer in a strong position.

Business Development Director Neil Bills said: “We have now begun our recovery with Homebase launching Ideal Standard into their online platform with Tempo and Studio Echo ranges.
“The collection will grow and over the coming months we will further develop our proposition back into the store formats.
“We hope again to be able to develop the business back to the scale we have had in the past, and with the hard work of our team I’m sure this is possible over time.
