Current customers and potential new ones have been hugely impressed by the pop-up displays at our Armitage plant.
The first groups of visitors from a variety of retail, construction and installation businesses have looked round the exhibition and been treated to a factory tour.
One of those was Derby-based modular construction firm TopHat, who have worked with Regional Sales Manager Tom Ball on a number of projects.

Tom said: “Mathew Edwards from our order fulfilment team did a brilliant job of presenting and explaining all of the relevant information whilst also answering the questions that came his way on the factory tour.
“TopHat have told us the exhibition area was fantastic and it gave them an opportunity to see our products in situ. It also allowed us to discuss potential upgrades on some of their higher end plots.”

Pop-up-1200-x-800 The TopHat visitors, made up of people from their procurement and supply and logistics departments thoroughly enjoyed the factory tour and the pop-up.

Will Woods, Supply Chain and Logistics Director at TopHat, said: “It’s great to have a British manufacturer in the sanitaryware market and all of our team loved seeing the manufacturing process in action.
“We have taken a lot of information away from the factory tour, the exhibition and our meeting, which will help our understanding of how Ideal Standard operate.”

Tom Nash, our Trade Marketing Specialist, said: "The feedback we’ve received from customers so far has been extremely positive. The pop-up is a great example of how we can showcase our Singular offering to customers and show them more products, ranges and categories that they may not expect from us. We’re looking forward to seeing what opportunities and potential new customers the pop-up can provide."

Tom added: "The set-up and organisation of the pop-up has been a considerable team effort and I’d like to give a special thanks to the teams who have had a significant input to the pop-up so far.
"These include the order fulfilment specialists, the DC/lodge 2 team, plant management, including health and safety, maintenance and quality assurance, the marketing and product team, the service engineers, sales and factory tour guides."

The exhibition space, in “stage 20” on the second floor of the Armitage factory, features a mix of upcoming new product introductions, such as La Dolce Vita, Solos, Gusto and ALU+, and key existing ranges such as i.life and Silk Black.
The aim is to engage with new customers, show them our capabilities, what we have in the pipeline for new products and to excite them about the prospect of using Ideal Standard as a supplier.
