Villeroy & Boch Group welcomed representatives from London Square and Elevate Property Group to our headquarters in Germany for a visit exploring the heritage, manufacturing expertise and product innovation behind our brands.

Organised by Becky Greenin from the A&D team and Pat Quinn and Jeremy Wilmot from the residential team, the visit brought together members of the two property groups for a packed programme designed to give them a closer understanding of the business and the people behind its products.

The itinerary included a tour of the ceramics factory, where guests saw the manufacturing processes and quality controls involved in bringing Villeroy & Boch products to life, followed by a visit to Villeroy & Boch World, its outlet and the company’s museum, which charts 278 years of history since its foundation in 1748.

The group also took part in product training in the showroom, enjoyed a private lunch at Saareck Castle and visited the Tree Top Walk overlooking the nearby Saar Loop.

Becky said: “It was a great opportunity to welcome our customers to Mettlach and show them more of what makes the Villeroy & Boch Group special.
“From seeing the ceramics being made on the factory floor to exploring our history and latest product ranges, we wanted to give them a real insight into the heritage, craftsmanship and family values behind our brands.”

She added: “It’s about more than supplying bathrooms. We want our partners to understand the quality, expertise and people behind the products they specify, and to feel confident in the relationship they have with us.”

Andy Howard, Head of Buying at London Square, said: “The visit to Mettlach was tremendous. The visit to the museum was insightful – being able to understand the history and how the brand was established and products evolved gave an emphasis to the following factory visit.

“The attention to detail, quality control processes, testing procedures and interaction between man and machine led me to believe we obtain good value for what we specify and install in London Square developments. It was good to learn about upcoming range offerings which were displayed in the showroom.”

The visit reflects the growing relationship between Villeroy & Boch Group and London Square, following an agreement signed last year covering a pipeline of developments across several sectors. This includes Armitage Shanks products for its housing association projects, Ideal Standard for shared ownership properties and Villeroy & Boch for build-to-rent and private residential developments.
