Tell us a bit about yourself
I was born in Edinburgh where I lived for the first two years of my life before moving to Hull. I have three children and I am due to get married in 2023, after recently getting engaged in Venice.

I love to travel, go on adventures and experience something new. In the last few years I have tried caving, zip lining and a Via Ferrata (climbing route). My next adventure is a trip to Mexico in January.

Describe your job to a five-year-old.
We make toilets and baths and I help sell them to grown-ups.

What do you like most about your job?
Learning something new every day, being part of a great team who are always there to help, dealing with various obstacles and finding ways to overcome them.

How did you get here?
I originally wanted to work in the events industry. After many years of working within customer service roles, I went to university and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business and Tourism Management. I then became an events manager, organising large events around the country. Due to Covid my career came to an abrupt stop and I realised that I would like to pursue a more progressive and stable career path which led me to apply for a job at Ideal Standard.

What motivates you?
On a personal level, my partner and children. On a professional level, learning something new, having a challenge and being able to do things out of my comfort zone.

If you could swap jobs with anyone, who would it be?
Meghan McCormick, so I could travel the world and get paid to do it.

Your favourite song lyric or line from a film.
"Nobody puts baby in the corner." – Dirty Dancing.

Your favourite app?
Vinted

Biggest facepalm moment at work?
Luckily, I haven’t had one at Ideal Standard yet. Although in a previous job I was organising the Christmas parade around Hull city centre, my job was to organise the float and the driver that would carry Santa. I provided the driver and the assistant with a tablet which would play Christmas songs from the float. Half way round it started playing Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini!!
